ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hi, my name is Betsy Poteau and I'm a 2D animator and Visual effects artist studying with a bachelor's at Savannah College of Art and Design. I'm of Haitian descent and the first of my family to go to Art School after Community College and plan to do more after I graduate. I've always had a love for animation ever since I was a little girl and was fascinated by how an animated drawing could convey so much emotion. Through my own work, I want to convey that sense of whimsy that I had as a kid and make compelling stories with characters others can relate to, like I did so long ago.
